E3 is done and everyone knows FF13 is on its way to Xbox 360. A complete surprise, though there have been signs in the past that SquareEnix was leaning to a multiplatform approach since its announcement of its much hyped Crystal Engine, designed to run on multiple platforms from the get-go. Rumors abound that titles from this Japanese giant were expected to be released for 360, but few could have predicted the recent twist of FF13's exclusivity.
It is, as they say, just business.

Ouch for Sony fanboys, and a sure win for xbox fanboys.
As for me, who owns two systems, couldn't care less.
Not a good time to be without at 360, especially for JRPG fans... SO4, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia...
and even though FF13 is still multiplatform, there will be many debates over which system can pump out the best graphics for it!
Feel sorry for Sony, trying to explain to the public how it reached to this, and are obviously SO in denial bout what's really happening... their 3rd party exclusives quickly running out, right now, its just MGS4, and Microsoft wants that title. Really amazed on how competitive Microsoft is.
It is a rather huge blow for Sony to lose another flagship exclusive. But it remains to be seen which will still be the superior version since it is still to be developed primarily for PS3 Japan market 1st.
I was also miffed and disappointed at S-E for this 'betrayal', but couldn't blame them to expand and maximize profits from the user base of two platforms.
Regardless I will still be getting the PS3 version, which will no doubt be superior to the X360 version. This with the failure rate being a major scare for me in purchasing a console in the first place and that any other games I would be interested at all are also available for PC.
I'll be smug as well in saying that without this exclusivity going multiplat, I bet no one would've cared much for the X360 at all. And it also goes to show just how MS is desperate these days since PS3 is catching up with it amid its current crawling sales.
Microsoft failure rate has toned down for their later versions. This failure thing would be forgotten. Lets face it, people buy the 360 because of its games and way better online service.
People who own em', buy games and if their xbox dies, they either buy again or get the extended warranty. As long as there is this 3-year thing, gamers could and should hardly care.
Console makers are going to win gamers over through their own developers not outside sources. Its a tight match. No winner here yet.
Squeenix, hope you guys get bankrupt. You profit driven a**holes.
can you guys lighten up. They're a business. They make money. Why stop them from doing that. Grow up.
